Standard VI: Teachers exhibit a high degree of professionalism.

Teachers demonstrate professionalism when they participate in activities that illustrate understanding and support for the vision of the school system.  Leadership within the educational community also provides teachers with opportunities to demonstrate their commitment to students, learning, and the profession of teaching.

Thank you from Ninth Grade English Team Leader

Carolyn Plosky, the ninth grade English team leader at Northwest High School, wrote this email to thank me for suggesting the FAQ research project for our ninth grade students.  I found the idea for the project in a National Council of Teachers of English journal, which I read regularly.  I presented the idea to the team, and they adopted it as the research project for the ninth grade English classes. .
